Job Description

Job Summary:

The Field Service Operations Analyst Intern is responsible for collecting and interpreting data from various sources, problem-solving and analyzing various types of operations opportunities. The Analyst Intern will be given a project for the purpose of driving improvement and finding soltions within the organization.

Principle Responsibilities: (essential job duties and responsibilities)

  • Collects and interprets data from various sources
  • Develops reporting, dashboards and/or tools and analyses to drive improvement and solutions in operations, including infrastructure models, freight, product supply, labor productivity, spend, etc.
  • Assists in the preparation and modeling of data to provide trend analysis to identify business and financial issues, develops and communicates recommendations for improvement to Operations management
  • Monitors various operations performance metrics in the areas of cost, customer service, and compliance
  • Applies continuous improvement, total quality management, and/or six sigma techniques to improvement initiatives
  • Develops ideas for additional strategies and improvement initiatives
  • Works with operations as well as other Acelity departments on improvement initiatives

  • Ability to use logical reasoning for simple and complex problem solving
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint & Outlook
  • Understanding of relational databases
  • Beginner level SQL programming experience

Education:

  • Enrolled in an Graduate major in Masters of Business Administration, Master of Science in Mathematics, Statistics or relate field (completed 1st year), or enrolled in an undergraduate major in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field (completed 3rd year)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills
  • Experience in a deadline-driven, rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated mathematical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to conceptualize data models and data structure
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Oracle, Cyrstal Reports, Business Objects, Tabluea, etc.
