Job Summary: 

The Senior Manager Corporate FP&A (the “Sr. Manager” or the “candidate”) primarily supports the Vice President, Corporate FP&A by driving the Company’s financial planning processes and leading the corporate financial analytics and reporting function.  Additionally, the candidate will provide financial support to key business leaders, including the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Commercial Officer.  The Sr. Manager will also support the Vice President, Corporate FP&A with special projects and process improvement initiatives to raise the standard of excellence across the scope of the FP&A organization.  The candidate must possess a strong background in corporate finance and accounting and a demonstrated track record of success in leading teams and processes in a dynamic environment.  The candidate will have excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills and must work collaboratively with cross-functional partners across the global organization.  The position will report directly to the Vice President, Corporate FP&A.

Principle Responsibilities (essential job duties and responsibilities):

  • Drives the Company’s budget and forecast processes, working collaboratively with key finance and commercial leaders across the business to deliver timely and accurate forecasts
  • Leads the corporate financial analytics and reporting function.  Supports the Vice President, Corporate FP&A and other business partners with insight into key drivers and analysis of trends to proactively influence decision making and forecasting.
  • Assists with the preparation of materials for internal and external (e.g. Board of Directors, Investor meetings, etc.) presentations
  • Performs regular assessment of FP&A processes and procedures to evaluate effectiveness and drive continuous improvement; makes recommendations and leads the implementation of the process improvements
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting (or related field) from an accredited university
  • 7 years of experience in one or more of the following roles (or equivalent): financial planning and analysis (corporate or business unit), operations finance
  • 3 years of experience successfully leading a team with direct reports

Other Qualifications:

  • Self-directed high performer with career aspirations in FP&A or corporate Finance
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, particularly with respect to breaking down data or trends and effectively communicating the “story” to senior business leaders
  • Proactively raises key issues to be addressed and independently develops and implements solutions
  • Highly organized with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment; maintains focus and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively with and for others while maintaining a positive, service-oriented attitude
  • Thoroughly understands accounting and the various financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) and interrelationships
  • Maintains confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercises sound business judgment
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly adept with Excel and creating PowerPoint presentations
  • Experience with Hyperion SmartView and Essbase, Oracle, OBIEE, Business Objects, as well as a strong grasp of database concepts
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, including cash flow and ROI/NPV analysis
  • Willingness and ability to work occasional evenings and weekends around critical deadlines

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years of experience leading a corporate budget/forecasting process or P&L of significant size for a business unit
  • MBA or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
