Job Description

The Regional Sales Director of Managed Markets is responsible for the oversight of Regional Account Managers (RAMs) and Managed Care Managers (MCMs) within the Managed Markets team. This role serves as a conduit for training, communication, and customer interface; as required to maintain and grow business within the purview of the overall Managed Markets strategy at KCI. Regional Sales Director is responsible for customer account management, as well as talent management and evaluation for the positions described above. Regional Sales Director reports to Vice President, Managed Markets. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, internal business-facing communication, customer contract negotiations, , strategy development assistance, corporate guidance, coaching/mentoring to other Managed Markets team members, and interface with other business unit counterparts.

Job Description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborative strategy design and implementation to achieve revenue growth in regional markets
  • Collaborative strategy design and implementation for ongoing business protection
  • Provides cross-functional leadership throughout multiple business units within the organization
  • Management of direct reports
  • Act as lead advisor to direct reports in customer engagements
  • Contract management and execution, in conjunction with Vice President, Managed Markets
  • Lead the development of infrastructure to support internal and customer needs with other departments such as the Advantage Center, IT, marketing and Finance
  • Staff training
  • Business training and education for TMV, TSV, TCV and DCS teams
  • Corporate communication and regular reporting
  • Partner with various teams within the organization to achieve overall business objectives
  • Account Management

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Sales, Marketing, Finance or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in sales,  medical device, insurance, or healthcare management, to include leadership experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including: Power Point, Word, Excel, & Outlook

Additional Requirements:

  • Demonstrated success in team leadership and coaching
  • Demonstrated success in business and marketplace strategy
  • Demonstrated success in project management and extended cycle selling
  • Outstanding communication skills, to include both written and verbal


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree or MBA preferred
  • Previous experience in Health Plan sales
  • Previous experience in Health Plan policy development
  • Previous experience in Health Plan provider contracting
  • Previous experience in healthcare economics and/or finance
