Job Summary:   The QC Packer Lead is responsible for:

  • Performing QC and/or product, item, packaging of all KCI products/parts for customer sold and internal KCI owned devices as needed to meet schedule attainment for Operations, Marketing, Sales, Study, R&D and Sustaining Engineering teams and leading team to meet objectives which includes management of QC Pack & Inspection Process.

    Principle Responsibilities: (essential job duties and responsibilities for self and managing team successfully)

  • Execute quality controlled work instructions and quality procedures for all units prior to releasing devices to the customer utilizing repair electronic system including checklist documentation as designated by procedure.
  • Supports and ensures self and team collection of devices, material generated by repair tech process which includes material that will be scrapped in staging designated collection areas.
  • Supports device post repair battery charge protocol.
  • Manage FIFO (First In First Out) devices in seed stock location for daily shipping. 
  • Quality Check and close all RMA orders in electronic applications ensuring that devices transfer successfully in the system to designated customer working with warehouse shipping team.
  • Identify units that fail QC (quality check) and route accordingly to technical repair for correction capturing failure in designated electronic application.  Ensuring compliance of team performing this function.
  • Ensure devices met packaging requirements as designated by procedure. 
  • Performs preventative maintenance on packaging tools, equipment to ensure equipment, tools extended life. 
  • Packages all types of repaired, refurbished, vet health devices as required utilizing Build of Material and or specification documentation.
  • Accurate quality control actions such as barcode serial number UDI (Unique device identifier) label and RMA verification.
  • Anticipates production needs and promptly notify the Supervisor, if issues are anticipated.   
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area to include bench and floor clean up.
  • Coordinates with part expeditor, TSP, TSDS teams to ensure accurate consistent processing of product.
  • Conforms to, supports and enforces all company policies and procedures and participates in all reasonable work activities as deemed suitable and assigned by management.
  • Adheres to company safety regulations and all requirements of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and notifies supervisor of any safety issues or hazards.    
  • Processes first pass yield devices capturing transaction in designated areas and routes devices to repair technician for correction.
  • Supports a team based environment by collaborating with other team members on production goals and projects.
  • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relations.
  • Provides coaching to team member resolving business and/or personal conflicts.
  • Consistently captures team productivity performance and communicates weekly.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Willingness to take a fitness test (Fit For Work) to determine ability to meet the physical demands of the job as outlined in the Job Safety Analysis.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • 5+years experience leadership, managing in a high volume output production environment.
  • 5+years leadership managing production or related field team/s.
  • Experience with MS Office applications including, Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated and achieved productivity requirements and quality standards specified by the business.
  • Demonstrated experience monitoring quality of assigned tasks and corrects any deficiencies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge utilizing process work instructions.
  • Demonstrates knowledge utilizing Material Safety Data Sheets.
  • Ability to work scheduled shifts and complete assignments via project, process timeline.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrates communication and presentation skills (verbally and writing).
  • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relations.
  • Ability to demonstrate skills regarding teamwork and collaboration.

Education:

  • Requires a High School Degree or equivalent
