Job Summary:  

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for analysis, forecasting, budgeting and reporting for $1B in revenue. This analytical and technically proficient professional will be responsible for understanding business changes, predicting future performance, identifying challenges, helping develop solutions and monitoring progress through well designed financial models and summarization of raw data inputs. The Senior Financial Analyst interacts with executive management to provide analysis and insights, help prepare presentations, improve business processes, and monitor progress. This position will report directly to the VP of Commercial Finance and may assist in the development of business policies as well as conduct special, highly-sensitive business studies. 

Principle Responsibilities (essential job duties and responsibilities):

  • Provides financial planning and analysis support for multiple products comprising $1B in revenue
  • Develops a deep understanding of business drivers by partnering with cross functional teams to analyze current trends and enable accurate revenue forecast
  • Oversees annual budgeting, short/long range forecasting and strategic planning process for business partners, including project planning and business case analysis; thoroughly documents assumptions and drivers
  • Designs and develops recurring and ad hoc business reporting to provide business partners with data driven insights and project future anticipated results
  • Communicates data in a clear, concise and unambiguous manner both verbally and in writing
  • Influences management decisions through insightful analysis of trends and opportunities
  • Performs on-going review of business processes to evaluate effectiveness and to achieve efficiencies, making recommendations for improvements
  • Ability to identify and quantify financial/operational Risks and Opportunities (R&O) to the business

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of six years of progressively complex experience in any combination of financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, operations, budget development, or business strategy

Other Qualifications:

  • Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office Applications including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Hyperion SmartView and Essbase, Oracle, OBIEE, Business Objects, as well as a strong grasp of database concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage financial models for business support involving forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis
  • General understanding of financial process flows and internal controls
  • Proven work experience with analytical and organization skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize; superb attention to detail
  • Demonstrated logic and reasoning skills
  • Advanced analytical and problem solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline driven, rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to deal effectively with all employees, including Executive Management, while conveying a positive service-oriented attitude
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment
  • Experience with data architecture and IT systems including accessing and analyzing data

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Masters degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
