Program Manager, Clinical Sciences & Education

The Program Manager, Clinical Sciences and Education will be responsible for clinical case support for our end-user clinicians under the direction of the VP, Canada & Latin America. This position will provide clinicians with technical expertise on the proper set-up and use of our devices as well as provide “best practices” from leading physicians/centers on preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative considerations for the associated procedures. The Program Manager, Clinical Sciences and Education will collaborate with the Professional Education organization to execute individualized physician training plans. Ensuring educational goals align with strategic marketing goals. Fosters and maintains effective communication with Channel Marketing Team, US Marketing team, Latin America Sales, Sales Management, Compliance, Legal, Finance and Global Teams.


  • Develop cross-specialty customer education programs that reinforce strategic priorities, programs will cater to different health care professionals and settings
  • Create educational tools for new channels to expand reach of KCI Professional Education programs
  • Design and create education strategy for KCI Acute and Post-Acute platforms, content delivery for Latin America Health Care Professionals and distributors salesforce
  • Administer individual training and mentoring programs on the KCI product(s) for interested physicians, including highly-technical training performed within the operating room, both domestically and internationally
  • Organize and present regional training sessions and labs for interested physicians
  • Develop and assist with technical training to new sales associates and other internal personnel
  • Cultivate in-depth physician relationships to support clinical education objectives.
  • Maintain expertise and knowledge in relation to Company products and procedures, as well as current literature, key clinical papers, and trends in the industry. Ensure any relevant medical certifications and licensing are kept up to date.
  • Works with internal personnel to ensure all documentation related to physician training is properly completed and submitted for the Company’s internal records system.
  • Gains and/or solicits customer feedback on educational programs and program materials
  • Responds and actions escalated customer and distributor requests regarding product support
  • Other duties as assigned by VP, Canada & Latin America or the Group Manager, Marketing, Americas Post-Acute


  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of hospital staff
  • Must exhibit a thorough working knowledge of typical hospital policies
  • Ability to work effectively and diplomatically with internal personnel to execute Company strategy, including senior management and sales personnel
  • Ability to self-motivate, multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to communicate effectively, particularly verbal, written, and presentation abilities detail-oriented
  • Ability to use discretion and exercise independent judgment under minimal supervision
  • Computer literate; proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, demonstration and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced commercial environment with the capability of handling complex situations
  • Ability to work well either independently or as part of a team


(Minimum qualifications for the position)

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health or science related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience developing, implementing and managing health related training programs and curriculums, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • 5+ years medical device industry and or clinical experience
  • Medical Device and/or wound care experience preferred
