Job Summary:   The Material Handler IV- Lead is responsible for Device Processing and Documentation Customer Service Support Areas - Technical Service Center:

  • The Material Handler IV Lead ensures self and his/her team comply successfully with Technical Service processing and customer documentation production and quality procedures.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead provides guidance through leadership to his/her team receiving Acelity product to include the booking order closure of product repaired being returned to internal and external customers.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead captures team’s productivity, quality yield performance and communicates weekly to team.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead communicates production, inventory challenges to management team daily and proposes solutions when possible.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead ensures his/her team communicates customer owned repair quotes, entitlements via email and or phone communication to TSC team and or customers.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead provides his/her team process, professional coaching and ensures team conducts themselves in a professional manner.

Principle Responsibilities: (essential job duties and responsibilities)

  • The Material Handler IV Lead ensures self and his/her team processes bench disassembly, assembly, and inspection, receiving of medical Acelity products via established department procedures with the use of hand tools, repair system applications including receipt of customer owned VAC (Vacuum Assisted Closure) product per procedure and management of device inventory awaiting repair.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead ensures self and his/her team receives Acelity product and makes inventory available for repair technician production team to meet customer schedule attainment goals.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead ensures self and his/her team have successfully closed repair RMAs (service work orders) through Oracle, RSO application booking process post QC packaging ensuring outgoing shipments successfully transfer back to customers.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead ensures self and his/her team collects RMA work order paperwork via specified interval schedule from the QC pack area.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead ensures self and his/her team communicates when necessary to the warehouse outgoing shipping team outgoing shipments.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead ensures self and his/her team complies with quality, customer complaint control procedures for all Acelity product prior to releasing product to repair production process.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead ensures self and his/her team communicates customer owned repair quotes, entitlements via email and or phone communication.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead ensures self and his/her team are successfully processing customer owned product complying with quality company requirements.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead ensures self and his/her team are maintaining a clean and orderly work area including workstation and floor clean up.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead ensures self and his/her team provide technical assistance over the phone for customers, sales force, third party maintenance providers with the assistance of repair technician team.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead ensures self and his/her team are correctly receiving and identifying Acelity and customer owned product which includes customer requested PM (preventive maintenance) and customer upgrades.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead ensures self and his/her team is complying with calibrated equipment, electrical static discharge (ESD) requirements.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead ensures self and his/her team is completing on time ComplianceWire training module when controlled documents are released.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead ensures self and his/her team adhere to company safety regulations and all requirements of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and notifies supervisor of any safety challenges or hazards.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead shall submit via safety applications near miss or safety hazard incidents.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead shall submit I.T. and facilities trouble tickets into respective Acelity applications as issues arise.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead participates all reasonable work activities as assigned by management.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead ensures self and his/her team conforms to, supports, and enforces all company policies and procedures.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead ensures self and his/her team performs inspection of devices for preparation to and from Aeration process.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead ensures self and his/her team performs delivery of devices for production repair area at designated schedule.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead ensures self and his/her team processes disposable and scrapped Acelity product per established process which includes removal of battery and printed circuit boards where applicable.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead ensures self and his/her team processes returns disposables product and communicates when necessary status to National Call Center (NCC) department.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead ensures self and his/her team accurately identify Acelity product with customer complaints and when necessary communicates to Quality engineering team.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead ensures self and his/her team contacts via phone/email service center groups requesting RMA information when necessary.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead monitors his/her team’s individual, first pass yield, attendance metrics to support production schedule attainment goals.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead ensures self and his/her team supports offline spare part cleaning and device component salvaging projects.
  • The Material Handler IV Lead ensures self and his/her team collaborate when necessary with internal and external TSC and company teams in a professional manner.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Willingness to take a fitness test (Fit For Work) to determine ability to meet the physical demands of the job as outlined in the Job Safety Analysis.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • 5+years experience leadership, managing in a high volume output production environment.
  • 5+years leadership managing production or related field team/s.
  • Experience with MS Office applications including, Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated and achieved productivity requirements and quality standards specified by the business.
  • Demonstrated experience monitoring quality of assigned tasks and corrects any deficiencies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge utilizing process work instructions.
  • Demonstrates knowledge utilizing Material Safety Data Sheets.
  • Ability to work scheduled shifts and complete assignments via project, process timeline.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrates communication and presentation skills (verbally and writing).
  • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relations.
  • Ability to demonstrate skills regarding teamwork and collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post High School Education
  • Background in working with bio-medical equipment device repair and or manufacturing environment.

Education:

  • Requires a High School Degree and 5+years of related experience with certification required (where applicable).
