Job Description

Leads the effective management of the KCI portfolio of solutions for the Acute channel

Including products such as:

Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) Portfolio which includes: 

  • V.A.C.® Therapy
  • V.A.C.Via™ Negative Pressure Wound Therapy System
  • V.A.C.Ulta™ Negative Pressure Wound Therapy System
  •  V.A.C. VERAFLO™ Therapy
  • ABTHERA™ Open Abdomen Negative Pressure Therapy
  • PREVENA™ Incision Management System
  • SNAP™ Therapy System

 Advanced Wound Dressings (AWD) Portfolio which includes: 

  • Conducts performance evaluations, performance management, coaching, and training of direct report(s) while actively participating in their development

  • Inspires and motivates sales team to deliver annual revenue targets

  • Leads the development of strategic solutions and tactics for the acute market segment (hospital and private market)

  • Provides insight and market intelligence to assist in or complete financial forecasting

  • Analyzes market trends, updates market intelligence, and performs market research

  • Creates portfolio marketing plans detailing activities and programs to make best use of Acelity resources and investments

  • Executes sales analysis on portfolio performance and effectiveness of Sales and Marketing initiatives

  • Collaborates with Channel Marketing, Product Marketing and Scientific Affairs team on identifying and managing local and/or national clinical study opportunities

  • Responsible for management and distribution of product samples, marketing literature and associated budgets

  • Responsible for effectively managing portfolio marketing budgets

  • Responsible for driving strategic presence at related conferences

  • Owns the successful execution for all product launches within designated portfolio

  • Gain and/or solicit customer feedback on products and/or brand promotional materials

  • Prepares clinical support and response materials for RFP submissions

  • Inventory Planning – works with planning teams to ensure adequate supply based upon market demands and forecasts

  • Responds and actions escalated daily customer and distributor requests regarding product support

  • Assists in developing pricing recommendations for various customers (distributors, GPOs etc.)

  • Other duties as assigned by Group Manager, Marketing, Americas Acute


(Minimum qualifications for the position)

  • University Degree Mandatory, MBA preferred
  • 6-8 years experience in managing sales, marketing, and product management/or development
  • Health care or med device experience preferred
  • Wound care industry experience an asset (preferred)
  • Medical Device and/or wound care experience preferred
