ORGANIZATION:    Acelity            DEPARTMENT: Technical Service Center (TSC)    REPORTS TO:   Javier Castaneda

Job Summary:   The Material Handler I is responsible for:                                                                                        

  • The Material Handler I performs internal and customer owned receiving protocols which includes disassembly/assembly of equipment awaiting repair.
  •  Receives disposable product and processing per procedure.

Principle Responsibilities: (essential job duties and responsibilities)                                          

  • Meets production, safety, quality, first pass yield requirements as specified by area lead, supervisor.
  • Adheres to Company safety regulations, and notifies the Production Supervisor of any and all safety hazards.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly workspace to include bench and floor clean up.
  • Participates in any and all reasonable work activities as may be deemed suitable and assigned by management.                                                                                           
  • Conforms to, supports and enforces all Company policies and procedures.                              
  • Inspection of devices for preparation to Aeration process.                                                   
  • Supports delivery of awaiting repair devices for the production repair area amd manages inventory levels.                                  
  • Disassembly of disposable devices for scrap process.                                                               
  • Processing returns disposables inventory.                                                                         
  • Identifies devices awaiting repair with customer complaints utulizign designated electronic applications.       
  • Contacts Service Center external customers requesting RMA (Return Material Authorization) work order information when applicable.                                  
  • Complies with individual and team performance and promptly communicates issues to management.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly workspace to include bench and floor clean up.
  • Monitors the condition of tools and calibrated equipment PM cycles used and notifies supervisor, designated calibration tech of any maintenance needs.
  • Complies with ESD (electrical static discharge) protocols.
  • Adheres to Company safety regulations and all requirements of Job Safety Analysis and notifies supervisor of any safety problems or hazard.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Willingness to take a fitness test to determine ability to meet the physical demands of the job as outlined in the Job Safety Analysis.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Experience with MS Office applications including, Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
  • Experience in warehouse, product packaging, receiving manufacturing production environments.
  • Ability to work scheduled shifts and complete assignments in required time frames.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrates communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relations.
  • Ability to demonstrate skills regarding teamwork and collaboration.
  • Accurate attention to detail oriented skills.
