Job Description

The Senior Manager of Integrated Marketing Communications is charged with developing integrated marketing strategies and executing them to drive business goals, enhance visibility and support the Acelity portfolio of brands. 

The successful candidate will work with colleagues and staff to develop effective marketing plans and put them into action. The Senior Manager will be responsible for strategy development, account management, creative execution, project management, budgeting, results tracking and multi-disciplinary leadership of marketing programs for key franchises, audiences, and initiatives.

The Senior Manager will manage project teams, supervise content development and is accountable for timelines and implementation of the marketing programs. In addition, the role will drive the successful implementation of Acelity’s marketing excellence program, including process management, training and development as well as change management.

Essential Responsibilities
• Develop comprehensive marketing strategies to achieve business and communications goals for the Acelity brand and key audiences
• Serve as primary contact and client lead for product portfolio and franchises
• Understand business needs, develop marketing strategies and project manage marketing campaigns to successful conclusion
• Provide leadership and counsel on marketing strategy and for therapies and target audiences
• Work closely with marketing colleagues to shepherd marketing strategies through to successful execution
• Collaborate with Digital Marketing team on digital tactics
• Work in conjunction with IMC leadership to develop a strategic approach for short and long-range planning
• Drive the successful implementation of Acelity’s marketing excellence program, including process management, training & development and change management
• Manage production efforts, schedules and allocate internal resources to projects
• Ensure that projects support marketing plans and strategies, follow guidelines regarding the Company’s brand style guidelines, maintain consistency with communication standards and are completed on time and on budget
• Regularly convene key stakeholders across the organization to ensure integrated, well-coordinated marketing plan implementation
• Create, deliver, and manage strategic, actionable, on-brand content that has a consistent look and feel across multiple channels
• Manage budgets—including monitoring, projecting, allocating and reconciling department funds
• Develop and put in place robust measurement plans that support effective evaluation of campaign success and learning
• Monitor and report to organizational leadership on the effectiveness of plans and tactics

Skills and Experiences
• Proven experience in challenging the status quo, thinking differently and challenging cultural norms with diplomacy
• Demonstrate high levels of professionalism in interacting with colleagues and leadership—a model of outstanding service to colleagues
• Develop and maintain effective and positive relationships across Acelity, representing the Integrated Marketing Communications team with a high degree of integrity and contributing to collaborative problem solving across the organization
• Embody creativity; bring innovative marketing solutions related to his/her area of expertise
• Leadership acumen, ability to bring together teams of diverse personalities and skills to drive toward common goals
• Function at a high level, brings strong judgment and clear decision making
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation to large and small audiences

Minimum Qualifications
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience – preferably in healthcare, life sciences or technology
• Multi-dimensional leader with robust strategic, analytical and project management skills
• Expertise in campaign measurement design and implementation; fluency in digital marketing techniques
• Demonstrated success in implementing large, complex marketing initiatives with results
• Proven ability to prioritize and successfully manage multiple projects, vendor relationships and people simultaneously
• Successful financial management, ability to oversee and track large budgets
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or related field
• Strong project management skills, effectively prioritizing workload to focus on the highest value activities
