JOB SUMMARY: Acelity is seeking a dynamic, creative and energetic Marketing Communications Intern to support our Integrated Marketing Communications team. In this position, you’ll provide internal and external support for marketing efforts across business segments. We are ideally looking for a graduating senior or recent graduate who is a team player that can deliver on results and is not afraid to think outside the box. This internship is a paid position, and candidates must be able to commit to 40 hours per week.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES (essential job duties and responsibilities):

  • Participate and support in product commercialization activities to include coordination of promotional material, creation/update of marketing materials, convention planning duties, and other related duties
  • Administer and manage the product management activities for Acelity products
  • Partner with other departments to implement tactics and initiatives
  • Participate in all reasonable work activities as may be deemed suitable and assigned by the Integrated Marketing Communications team
  • Participate on the social community management team to monitor and deal with conversations of interest
  • Create reports for internal customers to communicate program metrics
  • Conforms to, supports and enforces all Company policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate behaviors associated with Acelity Shared Values (Customer First, Integrity, A Will to Win, One Acelity)

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior experience in marketing, communications or public relations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior marketing/communications internship background preferred, but not required
  • Demonstrable experience/interest working in a health care or medical device environment.
  • Experience with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook (design skills a plus)
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills
  • Excellent prioritization, organization, problem solving and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and complete projects under high-pressure deadlines within a large organization
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment

EDUCATION:

  • Undergraduate student currently enrolled in a University or College (minimum Junior year completed)
  • Pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing or Communications
