Regional Wound Sales Manager

Job Description

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing region sales, sales administration, and clinical support functions for Advanced Wound Dressings (AWDs) in order to achieve the region’s financial and strategic goals. This role requires superior management skills, combined with the ability to effectively implement all programs as directed by Acelity senior management.

Job Description

Support Acelity region performance goals by:

  • Managing staff to achieve region’s annual financial and strategic goals assigned to AWDs
  • Hiring, developing, and retaining high-performing territory positions
  • Implementing region-level strategic sales deployment and direction plans for Wound Care Representatives (WCRs)
  • Monitoring, tracking, and improving key performance indicators, as identified by region scorecard metrics
  • Manage transition sales process from acute care accounts to post-acute wound care clinics and Service Providers.
  • Manage key strategic account relationships within IDNs, Wound Care Clinics and Third Party Biller Partners (Service Providers)
  • Work with internal partners (Marketing, Medical Education, NPWT Sales, Training and others) to obtain resources that will assist team in the achievement of the region plan
  • Adhere to all Acelity policies, procedures, and guidelines.


Complete essential business-tracking requirements by:

  • Managing expenses within assigned region’s budget to ensure that operating margin goals are achieved
  • Completing required reports within designated timeframes
  • As required, resolving account billing, inventory management, delivering key customer business reviews, and contract renewal issues
  • Responsible for hiring and onboarding, and coordinating training for new employees


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 7 years sales experience in medical device, as pharmaceutical, or other healthcare-related field with documented sales success
  • Minimum 3 years as a manager with experience guiding both direct and indirect reports
  • Proficient with MS office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook


  • Previous wound care management experience
  • Previous operating room sales experience or hospital sales experience
  • Previous successful documented sales management experience,
  • Previous experience working with Medical Education identifying and developing Key Opinion leaders in the local market
  • Previous experience with local IDN management including the signing of new contracts, execution of strategy, and delivering customer business reviews with key influencers
