SUMMARY

Reporting to, supporting and working under the direction of the Sr. Director, Channel Marketing, the Group Portfolio Manager, Americas Acute supports the profitability of the KCI brands by providing strategic direction to and leading team of Americas channel marketers in performing and compiling market research, developing acute portfolio marketing strategies as it relates to focus products, price, promotion and positioning within the Americas market place. Ensuring portfolio marketing goals align with market share growth and profitability. Fosters and maintains effective communication with Channel Marketing Team, US Marketing Directors, Americas Sales, Sales Management, Compliance, Legal, Finance and Global Teams.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Effectively leads the Americas Acute Channel Marketing team efforts promoting the portfolio of KCI solutions for the Acute channel

  • Products included are:

  •  Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) Portfolio which includes:

    V.A.C.® Therapy

    V.A.C.Via™ Negative Pressure Wound Therapy System

    V.A.C.Ulta™ Negative Pressure Wound Therapy System

oV.A.C. VERAFLO™ Therapy

oABThera™ Open Abdomen Negative Pressure Therapy

oPREVENA™ Incision Management System

  • SNAP™ Therapy System

  • Advanced Wound Dressings (AWD) Portfolio which includes:

    • PROMOGRAM PRISMA™ Matrix

    • INADINE™

    • SILVERCEL™

    • ADAPTIC™/ADAPTIC TOUCH™

  • Conducts performance evaluations, performance management, coaching, and training of direct report(s) while actively participating in their development

  • Inspires and motivates sales team to deliver annual revenue targets

  • Oversees development of strategic solutions and tactics for the acute market segment (hospital and private market)

  • Oversees development of strategy and focus for acute-focused conferences in the Americas

  • Oversees & guides the analytics on Americas market trends, updates market intelligence, and performs market research

  • Oversees organization, execution and follow-up from acute-focused market research initiatives

  • Oversees the insight and market intelligence used to complete financial forecasting

  • Guides the development of portfolio marketing plans to make best use of KCI resources and investments

  • Collaborates with Channel Marketing, Product Marketing and Scientific Affairs team on identifying and managing local and/or national clinical study opportunities

  • Responsible for effectively managing Americas, Acute Channel marketing budgets

  • Manages external vendor, agency relationships for Post-Acute Channel marketing team

  • Overseas the successful execution of all product launches within designated portfolio

  • Gains and/or solicits customer feedback on products and/or brand promotional materials

  • Leads planning and strategy for key Americas conferences

  • Leads the preparation of required clinical support and response materials for RFP submissions

  • Responds and actions escalated daily customer and distributor requests regarding product support

  • Assists in developing pricing recommendations for various customers (distributors, GPOs etc.)

  • Other duties as assigned by Sr. Director, Channel Marketing

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Ability to use discretion and exercise independent judgment under minimal supervision

  • Computer literate; proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to self-motivate, multi-task and prioritize

  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, demonstration and organizational skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively, detail-oriented

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced commercial environment with the capability of handling complex situations

  • Ability to work well either independently or as part of a team

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS 

(Minimum qualifications for the position)

  • University Degree Mandatory

  • 5-7 years experience in Marketing

  • Medical Device and/or wound care experience preferred
