Job Description

This position serves four general functions including Indirect Procurement (IP) inbound work activity coordinator, IP project management IP purchase to pay (P2P) manager and supplier relationship management (SRM) facilitator.  The individual in this position will be expected to interact with the business leadership of all spend categories, as well as the IP category managers that support the business.   In addition, the IP organization has any number of projects requiring leadership and direction that this individual will oversee as PM.  As P2P coordinator the individual in this position will ensure that all requirements for vendor set up, invoicing and payment are met to facilitate the payment of properly delivered goods and services to Acelity vendors and suppliers.  Finally, as SRM facilitator this role will oversee the development and maintenance of the Acelity SRM program.


  • Establish and/or maintain an inbound Indirect Procurement (IP) workflow receipt and assignment process
  • Ensure all inbound IP work is visible and available for status reporting
  • Provide project leadership including task identification, resources required, timing targets and reporting of same
  • Interact with KCI business leaders in an effective and professional manner
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) program that leverages strategic Acelity vendors
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of RFP packages as requested by the category management staff
  • Support the development and publication of key metrics of IP performance
  • Assist in the further refinement of the P2P role
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement the IP departmental roadmap
  • Support and contribute IP departmental savings objectives
  • Assist in the identification of departmental process gaps and collaborate with IP leadership to address appropriately (ie. training, workload capacity, external support)
  • Provide project management tracking, reporting and management as required
  • Provide consultation to senior leadership and represent the Indirect Procurement organization in matters concerning distribution and transportation in a professional manner


  • Liaise with business leaders and Indirect Procurement (IP) resources to resolve MSA and SOW issues
  • Support IP directives and road map
  • Approach projects with sensitivity towards budgets and timing
  • Support the pursuit of the Acelity corporate Most Important Things (MITs)
  • Work independently



  • Requires a Bachelor Degree in Business, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a business headquarters environment


  • Project leadership experience that has included enterprise as well as departmental scope
  • Demonstrated success in employee coaching, training, and development
  • Ability to multitask is essential
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a matrix organization
  • Intermediate proficiency with a variety of computer applications including MS Office, Visio, Project and Oracle ERP systems
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required up to 25%
  • Ability to deal effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Experience with Total Quality Management techniques and tools


  • LEAN and/or Six-Sigma certification
  • PMP or CAPM certification
